it’s nearly here! we are getting all prepped and ready for the launch of Fresh! at Spring Fair International up in Birmingham. we are looking forward to showing you lots if new giftwrap and cards we have been working on. see you all very soon. we will be in hall 3 on stand Z22.

i decided to cheat at a dinner party last weekend and i walked down to broadway market to buy the most lovely cakes (a bad thought crossed my mind that my friends would think they would be my creations with the bunny and unicorn factor but my jiminy cricket told me to be good and tell them about this fabulous baker whose name i neglected to ask!) i just had to take pictures of them before they were demolished because they were sooooo cute! i think next week i will endeavour to go & buy the little birdie cheesecake i was eyeing up!

this is the most amazing piece of work from our friends martin and line at andersen m studios! they are a super talented brother and sister team and we wanted to share their latest piece with you all!

a friend told me about this amazing initiative- operation christmas child. you only have one more day to get your parcels out to the drop off points all over the country but i still wanted to write about it (just in case 1 more person sees it). i think it’s a great idea. you fill a shoebox with little gifts for either a boy or girl and the shoebox is then delivered somewhere in the world through the samaritan’s purse to a child who could do with a little joy in life. it’s just a very little gesture but hopefully it will make someone smile whether or not they believe in christmas….

i am looking forward to the january release of the new astro boy film! tezuka rocks! and astro boy is by far one of my fave japanese cartoon heroes of all time! i am slightly baffled as to the new aesthetic created in hollywood for him (i’m not convinced it’s the best look. in fact i wish they’d left him alone. he looks over produced but not in a way slick enough to blow me away but it will not stop from watching my fave boy robot in action this spring on our screens). go astro boy!!!!!!

we were very excited to see our first piece of press for our Animals² storage boxes for kids in november’s issue of junior magazine! they are actually bigger than stated in the article. the boxes reach 76cm tall when you stand the head on the body and can be bought online at www.animals2.co.uk, a place for everything or at the Victoria and Albert Museum and very soon John Lewis. a perfect companion for any kid’s room! we will also be selling them at spirit of christmas this year at olympia, london 4-8th november.

i don’t know how many people remember the book by maurice sendak from the 60’s but only being 9 sentences long you could always read it again!   i am soooooooo excited about the new film by spike jonze. i think the ‘things’ look incredible and i just need someone to make me a wolf onesie so i can join in the wild rumpus!

it is officially our 5th year in business as we launched at TDA 2004 so this one is going to be a special one….i think we will have to bring cakes to celebrate! we feel like the last 5 years have galloped by and would like to thank everyone who has supported us along the way! not much has changed, i still hide in card shops in anticipation of seeing someone buy our cards but i’d like to think we’ve become a bit better at what we do through all the mistakes and successes we’ve been through along the way!
